On the Cultural origin of the Creation of Song Yu's Fu

The creation of Song Yu's Fu had been influenced by Chu Culture deeply.Firstly,the myths and legends of Chu brought Song Yu's Fu infinite imagination,romantic features and mystic characteristics.The sentimental features of Chu gave his Fu a racking and pathetic art quality,and the aesthetic taste which detached from life made his Fu rich and refreshing at the same time.Secondly,based on the succession of Qu Yuan's accomplishment in the creation of Chuci,Song Yu benefited a lot from the banter art of the Spring and Autumn Period,the riddle-like characteristics of Xun Zi's Xiao Fu,and learnt the elaborate way from various schools of literary and historical literature,thus achieved the transition from Sao to Fu.
