Abstract
In this paper, three isozymes (amylase, peroxidase and cytochrome oxidase) of 15 strains of purple sweet potato from Japan were studied by means of polyacrylamid gel electrophoresis using “ShanChuanZi” as reference cultivar. The results showed that the isozyme bands from leaves were clear and stable, and could be used to analyze the affinity among different strains of purple sweet potato; the basic isozyme bands were observed in all strains, and polymorphism was also detected in all isozymes. Based on cluster analysis, the relationship between “ShanChuanZi” and 15 strains of purple sweet potato from Japan was far; meanwhile, the relationship among A1, A2 and A7, A3, A4 and A6 was respectively much close. The relationship among B1~B4, between B7 and B8, was respectively much near.
