Abstract

Pipe handling operation occupies a very large proportion in the modern offshore drilling.The safe and fast,stable and efficient, pipe handling system and coherent operation is the precondition for the security and stability of holistic drilling platform or drilling ship and the important measure to improve efficiency and reduce cost of offshore drilling.The operation demand in offshore drilling and the research and development and application of pipe handling equipment were discussed.On this basis,the work flow of each link in pipe handling system and the structural features of device of pipe handling system in offshore drilling was analyzed in detail.
