A Tentative Study on Modern Japanese Literature from a New Perspective——Tsubouchishoyo and political novels

Influenced by the post-modernism, framework of study in Japanes literature field has changed dramatically. Many self-proved presuppositions are put into doubt. The change of Tsubouchishoyo's position in Japanese literature history is one of exemplary cases under such an influence. The relationship between Tsubouchishoyo and political novels which seemed to have reached a fixed conclusion in previous studies is now with some new findings when the connotation of the word modern times is reconsidered: political novels have made great influences on Tsubouchishoyo.
