Abstract
The pulsed power technology is widely used in the field of high power laser,z-pinch,high power microwave, and material synthesis.Gas switch is one of key part in pulsed power technology. In this paper,a field distortion gas switch was selected for the experiment, and the experimental circlesele cted the mode of positive-negative charging which widely used in engineering application. For obtaining the change law about the switch performance and the switch lifetime, the discharging channel number and the discharge characteristics of the mixing gases of SF6/N2 and SF6/Ar have been investigated in different mixing rate, gas pressure and electrode gap distance. The results can be used in the design of multichannel gas spark switch.
