Abstract
Objectives To study the correlative factors of serum uric acid in patients with Diabetes Mellitus type 2(DM2). Methods The concentrations of serum uric acid, blood cholesterol, blood glucose, blood creatinine and blood pressure in 217 cases with DM2 were detected respectively. Results There were positive correlation between serum uric acid and blood pressure, and positive correlation between cerum uric acid and blood creatinine, and positive correlations between serum uric acid and blood triglyceride. On the other hand, there was a negative correlation between serum uric acid and blood glucose. There was no correlation between uric acid and blood cholesterol. Conclusions Hyperuricemia might be a risk factor for DM2.
