The Implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory to Retailers as the Core Enterprise

In the information age,the traditional supply chain model has been unable to meet the needs of businesses to pursue profits,so the closer cooperation between upstream and downstream of the supply chain-vendor managed inventory(VMI)came into being.In this paper,we discussed one of the three operating modes of VMI,suppliers-retail(core)mode.This mode includes two modes which is the only suppliers and retailers and the participation of third party logistics.Business operation are also given in the supplier-retailer(core)mode,in the same time the enterprises should pay attention to some problems.Finally,we initially proposed the improvements of VMI model in the future-collaborative planning forecasting and replenishment(CPFR).
