Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand the epidemiological characteristics of communicable disease events in Nanning,and provide scientific evidences for its prevention and control.METHODS Descriptive epidemiological methods were adopted to analyze the data on communicable disease events in Nanning from 2004 to June 30th in 2011.RESULTS A total of 453 communicable disease events were reported in Nanning from 2004 to June 30th in 2011,with 32 088 cases and incidence of 2.55%.Most communicable disease events were respiratory infectious(83.22%).Two peaks were observed during March to June and September to December.Most communicable disease events were appeared in schools and nurseries.Students and children in nurseries were highly susceptible population.Respiratory infectious diseases were main in towns,while intestinal infectious diseases were main in countries.CONCLUSION It is important to strengthen the surveillance and management of respiratory infectious diseases in schools and nurseries.
