Abstract

Islam was widely spread in the Jin dynasty. There were some trades and envoys between them. There were quite a few Muslims within the border of the Jin dynasty.Among them, there were officials, soldiers, merchants, envoys and common people.Perhaps they came from Hui people in the Liao and Song dynasties,or they were Western Muslims coming to the Jin dynasty through trading, acting as envoys or surrendering to the Jin dynasty. In the early years of the the Yuan dynasty, the dissemination of the Islam seen by the Western travelers showed exactly the spreading of Islam in the late Jin dynasty.
