The Role of Teachers in Model of Task-based Approach

The role of teachers has changed greatly in quality in the model of task-based approach. Teachers act as medium,organizer and designer during the teaching process.On the aspect of teaching mod- el,teachers control the whole learning process no longer,but help students know how to learn.The role of teachers is to make students to be active in the real language environment in the activity of teaching and bring the students' initiative into full play.Teachers should take part in the process of teaching designing and choosing the content of the teaching course.The role of teachers is to help students to communicate each other in English in the model of teaching,while it is not to control the whole mutual and content process.It should be insisted on dealing well with the duty relations between teacher and student and the long-term development of teacher's teaching skills.
