Abstract
An eco-city refers to a city in which the structureo function and services of the natural ecological system in the city area coordinate and integrate the structure and function of the social and economic system in the same area. Construction of an eco-city indicates that city development enters a new phase, and requires new theories and new thinking for its development for city development. Now eco-city will be the only and inevitable choice for 21 century cities due to its strengths as follows orderly developing according to the time, reasonable space arrangement, well metabolism process, sound industrial structure, right economy, abundant landscape diversity, competition, symbiosis and spontaneity.
