Surgical Treatment of Ectopic Pregnancy: Clinical Analysis of 158 Cases

Abstract

Objective To explore early diagnosis and proper surgical treatment of of ectopic pregnancy.Methods The clinical data of 158 cases of surgical treatment from 2000 to 2009 were retrospectively analyzed.Results Three cases were misdiagnosed,and the others were diagnosed.All the cases were surgically treated,of which 67 cases of laparotomy,91 cases of laparoscopic surgery were successful with good effect and no complications.Conclusions Diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy relies on abdominal and vaginal B- type ultrasound and blood β-HCG and urine HCG based on clinical manifestations;and laparoscopic surgery is the preferred approach for ectopic pregnancy.
