Abstract

A novel scheme for the vegetation classification in Guangdong Province was proposed. This scheme includes 5 vegetation type groups, 12 vegetation types and 31 vegetation sub-types.The first 2 vegetation type groups, i.e., the coniferous forest and broad-leaved forest were introduced.Five vegetation types, 15 vegetation sub-types and 48 representative formations were listed.
