Abstract

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Shenfu injection in combined with Western medicine on chronic congestive heart failure( CHF) and its safety. Methods A total of 60 CHF patients randomly into the treatment group and the control group,30 cases each group. The patients in the two groups were given CHF conventional treatments with western medicine on admission. Based on the routine treatment, intravenous drip of Shenfu injection( 50 m L) and sodium chloride solution( 50 m L) once every day were added to patients in the treatment group; while the patients in the control group were given conventional treatments. The EF,SV,improvement of syndrome of Chinese medicine score, clinical efficacy, and the occurrence of adverse reactions before treatment and four weeks after treatment in the two groups were compared. Results EF and SV after treatment in the two groups were significantly increased when compared with those before treatment( P 0. 05),while syndrome of Chinese medicine score was significantly reduced as compared with that before treatment( P 0. 05),treatment group were significantly superior to the control group( P 0. 05); the total effective rate after treatment in the treatment group was 96. 7% significantly higher than that in the control group 86. 7%( P 0. 05). No obvious adverse reactions during the therapeutic process in the two groups were occurred. Conclusions Shenfu injection in combined with Western medicine in treating CHF can effectively enhance the patients' cardiac functions, and improve the clinical symptoms.
