Abstract
The title compound with formula C24H128B18N24Ni6O75V12 (Mr = 3111.62) has been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction. It belongs to trigonal system, space group R-3with a = 13.942(2) ? ?= 96.476(2), V = 2653.9(5) ?, Z = 1, Dc = 1.947 g/cm3, ?= 21.55 cm-1, F(000) = 1574 and S = 1.009. The final R and wR are 0.0594 and 0.1398 for 2108 observed reflections with I 2s(I), respectively. In the structure of this compound there exists an 18-membered ring of B18O42 sandwiched between two vanadium-oxygen clusters V6O15 by eighteen B(3-O)V bonds, and six [Ni(en)2] were connected with the B18O42 ring by two Ni(3-O)B, respectively.
