Effect of Trimetazidine on Patients with Heart Failure from Ischemic Cardiomyopathy

Objective To assess the clinical effect of Trimetazidine on the heart failure from schemic cardiomyopathy.Methods The randomized controlled trials(RCTs) were conducted involving 78 patients heart failure from ischemic cardiomyopathy;they were randomly divided into control group and test group,with 39 patients in each group.The patients in the test group were administered with Trimetazidine based on the routine treatment.The cardiac function,echocardiography,6-minute walk test were conducted to evaluate the therapeutic effect of Trimetazidine.Results After the treatment,the total efficiency in test group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistical significant;The parameters such as left ventricular end-diastolic diameter,left ventricular end-systolic diameter,left ventricular ejection fraction,6-minute walk test distance were better in the test group as compared to the control group,and the difference was significant.Conclusion Trimetazidine combined with other conventional drugs can effectively improve the cardiac function of patients with heart failure from ischemic cardiomyopathy,and increase their physical activity.
