This paper by Alternaria infection to gourd crop in Xinjiang. The two types of leaf-spot have been identified as black ringleaf spot and broun ringleaf spot,caused by A.cucumerina (Ell.et Ev)Elliott and A.cucurbitae Letendre et Roum.respetively,In this paper,the symptoms and the pathogen of these two types of leaf-spot have been described,discrimi nated.Futhermore,the detailed discussion is given
