Abstract

[Objective] The reference for the xylose production was provided through the research.[Method] The processing procedure including the size of corncob particle,the concentration of acid,the ratio of solid to liquid,the ultrasonic frequency and others for xylose production was explored.The effect of all factors in the hydrolysis process of sulfuric acid to corncob on the yield of xylose was evaluated through use of orthogonal experiment.The best reaction condition was selected.[Results] The order of the different factors affecting the yield of xylose was: the size of corncob particle the concentration of acid the ultrasonic frequency the ratio of solid to liquid.The size of corncob particle high significantly affected the yield of xylose,the concentration of acid significantly affected the yield of xylose and others had little effect on the yield of xylose.The optimal extraction condition of xylose was: the diameter of corncob was 0.83 mm,the ultrasonic frequency was 100 kHz,the ratio of solid to liquid was 1∶10(g/ml) and the concentration of acid was 3%,under which condition,the yield of total xylose was 34.59%.[Conclusion] The process condition of the xylose preparation from corncob was optimized.
