Abstract

Hydration exothermic rate and quantity of cement-based composites containing 0,30% and 50% limestone powder and 50% fly ash were measured with TONI calorimeter. The reaction constant K,degree of hydration α and reaction exponent N can be calculated by using kinetic method, from which the mechanism of the hydration process can be known. The results show that limestone powder promotes early hydration of cement-based composites, especially when limestone powder content is 50%,hydration turns from NG progress to I progress rapidly.
