Abstract
Objective To research the role and changing rules of immunoglobulin in the pathologic process of MS. Methods We studied the brain tissues of seven autopied MS patients by immunohistochemical method. Results Staing of IgA,IgG and IgM was positive in the cytoplasm of both astrocytes in the peripherial areas of the white matter and phagocytes in the acute inflammatory necrosis areas. The staining of GFAP was positive in the cytoplasm of astrocytes in the peripheral areas. The cytoplasm staining of IgA,IgG and IgM was also foung positive in the neurons of CNS,especially in the pyramidal cells. Conclusion MS is a complex immunological disease in which many kinds of cells of the CNS take part in and may be related to the infection of virus of the CNS.
