Abstract

The orthogneiss of Diancang Mountain can be divided into 2 types, ie plagiogneiss and granogneiss. The former belongs to an island arc volcanic rock and was formed in early Proterozoic whereas the latter is a collision granite and formed in middle late Proterozoic, which are correlated in the main chemical composition. The granogneiss is formed by the anatexis of the earlier plagiogneiss and plagioclase amphibolite.
