Abstract

The emergence of Chinese studies in the 21st century is the proof of Chinese culture, for the perfect culture with vitality is to emerge from the dust of history. The image text to display Chinese culture should be poems and paintings. There exists close connection between Chinese paintings and poems. The development of the painting art is influenced by Chinese Daoism, Buddhism and poetic atmosphere. Most ancient Chinese painters had deep cultural basis and high artistic vision. Chinese paintings have unique artistic value and connotation that can not be replaced by Western paintings. The reasons why Chinese paintings have not been well accepted in the world are as follows: first, Chinese painters have not paid enough attention; second, Westerners do not understand Chinese paintings; third, China is lack of Missionary of the West.
