Sun Zhiwei and Literati Works in Yangzhou in the Early Qing Dynasty

During the time from Shunzhi to Kangxi in the early Qing Dynasty,there was prosperous culture and society in Yangzhou,and many great people gathered there.Sun-Zhiwei,as a poet,was regarded as a leader in the circle of poets in Yangzhou.He and his poet friends frequently gathered together,drinking wines,writing poems and having poetic activities.Due to different political ideas among those literati,their topics and mentality were also different.Some adherents of the former dynasty,Mandarin officials and the literati did not have worldly desires.By reviewing the literature,the unique culture and ecology of literati in Yangzhou is clearly presented.
