Abstract

Objective To observe in vitro bacteriostatic effect of antibacterial material of Pseudomonas aeruginosa against Acinetobacter baumannii, etc. Methods The in vitro inhibitory activity of antibacterial material of P.aeruginosa against A.baumannii,methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Enterococcus faecalis were determined by using the cross-streak assay. Results In vitro inhibitory activity of P.aeruginosa against A.baumannii,methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis, and Enterococcus faecalis were excellent.Among 10 strains of P.aeruginosa,8 strains showed an inhibition rate of up to 100% against A.baumannii.In addition, there were 8 strains of P.aeruginosa whose inhibition rates against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis were 100% too;and the inhibition rates of 6 strains against E.faecalis inhibitory rate were also 100%.Conclusion P.aeruginosa has strong antibacterial activity against the above 3 species of pathogenic bacteria, and has potential development and application prospects.
