Abstract

AIM: An effective method for controlling quality of Mongolian medicine was researched. METHODS: 15 trace elements and their content in Xirawrel(1~#、2~#) were determined by ICP-AES. RESULTS: It has been found that there were much higher content of essential trace elements-Ca,Mg,Fe,Cu,Zn,Mn and relative lower content of harmful heavy metal elements-Cd,Pb,Ag in Xirawrel, except of arsenic. The recoveries of standard addition were in the range of 97.5%-105.5%.The relative standard was ≤2.88% and detection limit was in the range of ≤0.009 μg/mL.CONCLUSION: This method provides a new approach to control quality of Mongolian medicine.
