Abstract
Objective To proof the speech intelligibility is a different concept from the articulation intelligibility,and is a kind of subjective assessments of cleft plate speech.Methods Analyze the evaluation results of the normal children and cleft palate children's speech and compare the differences of the speech intelligibility and the articulation intelligibility.Results The difference of speech intelligibility and articulation intelligibility of cleft palate children had statistical significance.Conclusion Speech intelligibility emphasis semantic which is different with articulation intelligibility emphasis pronunciation of signle character.Therefore speech intelligibility can be used as a kind of subjective assessments of cleft plate speech.
