Abstract
The creation of Shi Zhi,a poet,in the middle and late 1960s represented the modern poetry's first renaissance in modern China in the real sense.The theme of believing in future and love for life runs through his poems.Besides,his poems have a tense personal colour and strong rhythmic beauty.Shi Zhi's explorations of writing the new verse following the rules and forms of classical poetic composition has made up for Chinese epic's gaps in art to a certain extent.
