Abstract

OBJECTIVE: To investigate hospital adverse drug reactions ( ADR) occurrence, promote clinical rational drug use, improve the level of ADR monitoring. METHODS: Analyze 540 cases of ADR reports in our hospital collected from June 2004 to June 2009 by retrospective analysis, including the patients′ age and gender, route of administration, drug type,ADR involving the organ /system,the first eight drugs triggering ADR,the quality of ADR reporting. RESULTS: The incidence rate of ADR is more in women than in men; Anti infective drugs and proprietary Chinese medicine ranked 1,2;intravenous infusion of drug induced accounted for 82. 04% ;ADR involved the organ / system mainly in skin and its annexes, accounted for 48. 52% . The highest incidence of ADR drugs is cefotaxime sodium for injection. CONCLUSION: It should be to have a correct understanding to the importance of ADR monitoring, strengthen monitoring and advocacy in ADR,effort to improve the quality of ADR reports to ensure patient safety in drug use.
