The remounting and third-remounting of Complete Denture

The primary objectives of the remounting and third-remounting for complete denture are to perfect the adaptation of the complete dentures to the oral structures and to make the necessary corrections to obtain perfect harmony in occlusion.The remounting is usually performed in the laboratory by the technicians,who will reseat the edentulous casts with attached dentures on the articulator.The original record of the edentulous jaws relation will instruct how to correct occlusal discrepancy produced during denture base processing.Unlike the remounting,the third-remounting is performed in clinic by the dentists.It will retake the centric relation record of the edentulous jaws using the new complete dentures in the patient's mouth and transfer them to an articulator again.In the articulator the dentists will make the definitive occlusal correction before the delivery.The remounting and third-remounting will guarantee the ideal occlusal relation of the new denture in the patient's mouth.
