The cephalometric measurements and side appearance effects of sudden partial jaw deformity patients treated by orthognathic treatment

Abstract
Objective To investigate the cephalometric measurements and side appearance effects of sudden partial jaw deformity patients treated by orthognathic treatment.Methods Selected 50 cases with wards partial sudden jaw deformity treated in our hospital from February 2008 to October 2011,there were adopted orthognathic treatment.Results After treatment,the measurement value of cephalometric were gradually increased in each time period(P0.05),and the amount of recurrence after 3 months was(1.75 ± 0.65) mm.All patients 's were wound healing,the lip deformity were significantly improved,the shape satisfaction were symmetry,and there were no significant complications occurred after treatment.Conclusion Sudden partial jaw deformity patients treated by orthognathic treatment can effectively improve the measurement value of cephalometric,reduce the recurrence of the amount and the complications,while the evaluation of the facial profile should be widely applied.
