Abstract

Photocatalytic degradation of phenol in water by TiO2 suspension was carried out in UV-photoreactor.Effects of some important factors, such as the quantity of titanium dioxide,pH value, circulating flow,on the process of photocatalytic degradation were investigated. The experimental results showed that degradation rate of phenol could reach 71.2% when the quantity of TiO2 was 1.0 g/L,the calcinations temperature of TiO2 was 450 ℃,the circulating flow was 20 L/h and the time of UV radiation was 5 h.
