Abstract

There exists obvious inheritance and the development betweenNewly Organized StoriesBy Lu Xun and the historical novels by English well-known writer Scott:on one hand,their historical novels are both in pursuit of the integration of the realism and the romanticism so as to realize the organic integration of true history and true art;On the other hand,in the higher pursuit of the creation intention,Lu Xun emphasized the serving for the realization struggle and the ancient and modem blend,he surmounted the limitation of nostalgic features in the historical novels by Scott.This kind of surmounting has the profound influence to the development of Modem and Contemporary historical literature in China.
