Abstract

The galvanic corrosion of AZ80 alloy coupled with graphite,aluminum alloy,zinc alloy,copper alloy and Q235 carbon steel was measured in 3.5% NaCl solution.In the process of galvanic corrosion,pH and galvanic current of solution were measured.The galvanic corrosion rate of the alloy was calculated by mass loss method,and the chemical composition of the corrosion products was analyzed by XRD.The results show that pH value of 3.5% NaCl solution increases and reach a plateau at about 10.5.The corrosion products are mainly composed of Mg(OH)2.Galvanic corrosion can greatly accelerate the corrosion of the alloy.Cathode to anode area ratio is more larger in galvanic couple.The galvanic corrosion of the alloy is more serious.
