Abstract

Objective: To investigate CT manifestations of adenolymphoma of the parotid gland. Methods: CT characteristics of 28 cases with adenolymphoma confirmed surgically and pathologically were studied retrospectively. The number, location, size, shape and density of the main parameters studies.26 cases were male, while 2 cases were female, and the average age were 58 years old. Results: 18 cases were located in the posterior and inferior quadrant of the parotid gland. We can find mutiple lesions in 10 cases.24 cases had a clear boundray;the CT value of 23 cases increased on the average of 31-40 HU after enhancement. The density of 5 cases were uniform because of crack-like or small cystic-density lesion inside. Conclusion: Adenolymphoma of the parotid gland is the characteristic of benign tumor, and is the predilection to middle age male.It manifests mutiple lesions, and rich blood supply after enhancement.
