Abstract
Being the kernel of spatial database,spatial database engine is capable of managing and maintaining spatial data efficiently.After summarizing the spatial database engine technology,the theory system of ArcSDE technology is discussed and a road information management system making use of key technologies of SDE is developed to solve the bottleneck problems of integration GIS application and spatial database,to realize efficient management of massive distributed spatial data and to prove the feasibility of ArcSDE in road information system in this thesis.
