Abstract

Objective:To investigate the value of CTA in diagnosis of cerebral arteriovenous malformation.Methods:16 cases with cerebral arteriovenous malformation diagnosized by CTA.The results were confirmed by DSA,operation.Marconi CT Twin and Omnipro work station were used in all 16 cases. Results:Of the 16 AVMs,a total of 33 supplying arteries(48.5%) and 23 draining veins(82.1%) were detected by CTA.The main supplying arteries, most of draining veins, and all nidus of the 16 AVMs were displayed very well on CTA images. Conclusion:CTA is a good method in diagnosis of cerebral arteriovenous malformation.CTA can be used in diagnosing, screening up,and following up the intracranial arteriovenous malformation.
