Abstract

The region of the Yangtze River Delta is now becoming a megalopolis with prominent vitality and most rapidly developing economy in China.The paper demonstrates the regional developing characteristics and advantages on several aspects: urban spatial arrangement,social economy and so on.Then,it analyzes problems in urban function,regional administration and working dividing,resources and environment,etc.The paper finally proposes some strategies of development and construction of the Yangtze River Delta in the background of economic globalization and the Shanghai World Expo 2010.
