Abstract
On typical roads in main urban area of Chongqing City,the traffic noise was measured and analyzed.The results showed that highway traffic noise of day and night equivalent sound level was the highest,the next was main roads,minor trunk road was the minimum.Traffic noise increased with the increase of vehicular traffic,the peak value appeared during 8~10 am and 17~20 pm,the minimum value appeared in 4 am.On the horizontal direction,the noise value was gradually reduced with the increase of the distance between the noise source and the road-edge,and the noise away from the road-edge over 45 m could meet the requirements of Environmental quality standard for noise(GB3096-2008).On the vertical direction,the noise value increased and then decreased gradually.
