Abstract
Objective To make a ideal model for liver tansplantation. Methods On the basis of cuff technique,we carried out 30 cases orthotopic liver transplantation in rat from October 1997 to March 1998 and 72 cases from April 1999 to January 2000.In the transplantation,we anastomosed the portal vein and subhepatic vena cava with cuff and connected the suprahepatic vena cava to the recipient's diaphragm with 7-0 running suture. Results Seventy six point six percent of the operation were successful and one week survival was 70% in 30 cases group. Ninety three point one percent of the operation were successful and one week survival was 87.5% in 72 cases group. Conclusion The results show that the model is stable and can be used in the experiment of liver transplantation.
