Abstract

The emergence of HU Yuan's neo-Confucianism thought catered to the ruler's political needs in Song Dynasty and adapted to the times that Song Dynasty was just at the transitional period from the stage of fighting to win state power to the stage of ruling the country.Meanwhile,the development of Confucianism required a deep revolution.At the same time the emergence of HU Yuan's neo-Confucianism thought was the result of HU's pursuit of nation's prosperity by education.
