Abstract

The CFD code AutoreaGas was used to provide a quantitative description for the gas explosion characteristics in tubes. The influences of different initial pressures, initial temperatures, obstacle locations, shapes and sizes on the explosion overpressure and flame propagation speed were analyzed. The calculated results indicate that the initial pressure and initial temperature have a certain influence on the explosion overpressure,in which the higher the initial pressure is,the higher the explosion overpressure is,and the higher the initial temperature is,the lower the explosion overpressure is,the flame propagation speed changes a little;the obstacles have a great influence on the explosion process,in which the influence of the obstacle located in the middle part of tube is more than that in the both sides, the influence of plate obstacle is more than that of the cubic and cylinder, and the long obstacle influence is more than that of the short one.
