Abstract
With HCl-ethanol solution as the extracting agent, acidic extraction was adopted to extract red pigment from azalea, and the effects of extraction time,temperature,solid-liquid ratio and ethanol concentration on the extraction were investigated.Using Box-Benhnken response surface methodology, the extraction process was optimized, and a response surface was established with the pigment's absorbency as the response value to study the interactions among these factors. It was concluded that the optimum extraction conditions included 40℃,180 min, ethanol concentration 60% and solid-liquid ratio 1 ∶ 8.
