Abstract

Garden city theory was the reflection on the relationship between urban and rural areas in the process of urbanization in the 19th century;it has been advocated by the municipal scholars in modern China.At present, China's urban development is also facing the difficulties that is called urban-rural dichotomy.Chengdu has accumulated a lot of experience about planning the city and countryside development as a whole, and in due course put forward to build aModern Garden Citygoal.Modern Garden Citybuilding is rich in content, and is a new model of urban and rural coordinated development.
