The Process Research of Dyeing Silk with Indigo Acid-leuco

Abstract

Indigo acid-leuco was used to dye silk.The dyeing and dyeing parameters such as mass concentration of sodium hydrosulfite,pH value of dye bath,dyeing temperature and salt were investigated.The results showed that: silk was successfully dyed with indigo acid-leuco.The dyeing performance of silk was best at sodium hydrosulfite 3 g/L and pH value 3.The temperature had remarkable effect on dye-uptake,the dye-uptake reached peak at 90-100 ℃.Meanwhile salt had no effect for dyeing silk with indigo acid-leuco.
