Effect of Chinese herbal medicine additives on semen quality and freezing effect of cocks

To explore the effect of Chinese herbal medicine on cock semen quality and freezing effect.The test selected 27 forty-week-old breeder cocks,via semen collection training and the test of semen quality,selected 9 cocks for groupⅠ(the group needs to improve),which had lower success rate of semen collection,higher pollution rate of semen,less semen volume and thinner semen,the other 18 cocks were randomly divided intoⅡ,Ⅲ.GroupⅠ,Ⅱ fed with basic diets supplemented with 2% different Chinese herbal medicine,groupⅢ fed with basic diets.The results showed that the groupⅠ,Ⅱcould significantly improve the semen volume,the semen motility rate,the semen concentration,success rate of semen collection and the semen motility rate after freezing(P0.05);great significantly reduce the semen abnormal rate,the semen abnormal rate after freezing and pollution rate of semen(P0.01);and have after-working(delayed until 10 after feeding).Therefore,Chinese herbal medicine as feed additives can be used to improve the quality ofcock's semen,and to improve the freezing effect.
