Abstract

Test pit experiments were conducted to discuss the suitable irrigation mode for rice in middle area of Liaoning Province.Variation of irrigation quantity, plant height and effective tiller, yields and water productivity were analyzed under four irrigation modes including controlled irrigation, alternative irrigation,wet-shallow irrigation and shallow basin irrigation respectively, and shallow basin irrigation was used as control. The results showed that irrigation quantity, plant height, effective tiller, yields and water productivity of wet-shallow irrigation and shallow basin irrigation treatments were significantly greater than those of controlled irrigation and alternative irrigation treatments, water productivity of wet-shallow irrigation treatment was the best, and water productivity of alternative irrigation treatment was the least. The most suitable irrigation mode for middle area of Liaoning Province was wet-shallow irrigation.
