Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of resveratrol(Res)on proliferation and apoptosis of synoviocytes in patiens with rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Methods The level of cell proliferation of synoviocytes with Res in patiens with rheumatoid arthritis were measured by monotetrazolium(MTT)colourmetric assay. The apoptosis of synoviocytes were studied by TUNEL and flow cytometry. Results Level of cell proliferation of Res-treated(50~400 μmol/L)was siganificantly decreased compared with corresponding non-treated group(P0.01). TUNEL labelling demonstreated that the percentage of the apoptotic cells was increased with increased Res concentration (50~400 μmol/L). The difference of apoptotic rate between the treated and non-treated group was siganificant (P0.01). Conclusion Res can inhibite proliferation and induce apoptosis of synoviocytes in rheumatoid arthritis.
