Abstract

Objective:To discuss the good practice of therapeutic monitoring for antiepileptic drugs(AEDs).Methods: The therapeutic monitoring was done for the common AEDs such as carbamazepine,phenytoin,phenobarbital,primidone and valproic acid.Results: The indication of AEDs′ therapeutic monitoring should be clear.After the sample was collected and measured well,the results must be reported and explained in time,so the concrete suggestion was given.Conclusion: Establishment of the standardized quality control for the AEDs monitoring can play a positive role in the antiepileptic treatment.
