Abstract
Objective:To study the potential roles of P16?C-myc and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) in the genesis and progression of glioma.Methods: Using immunohistochemical staining technique,52 cases of glioma specimens were examined for expressions of P16?C-myc and PCNA protein. The relationship between the immunoreactivity of P16?C-myc and PCNA and clinicopathology in glioma were analysed.Results:The expressions of P16 were not significantly different(P0.05), recurrent group were higher than non-recurrent group(P0.01). The C-myc scores and PCNA index of Ⅲ?Ⅳ were higher than those ofⅡ.Conclusion:The expressions of P16 and PCNA correlate with the recurrence of glioma; the expressions of C-myc and PCNA correlate with the grading of glioma.
