Abstract
On the basis of the monthly data of the period of 1961-2010 collected from 38 observational stations over Tibet Plateau,a transition of temperature and precipitation can be found near 1990 by means of the accumulative anomaly and Mann-Kendall test method.By using the climate tendency rate and GIS spatial interpolation methods,we compared the temp-spatial changes of temperature and precipitation averages and climate tendency rates in the region in 1961-1990(period I) and 1991-2010(period Ⅱ).The results indicated that: in the last 50 years,Tibet showed an increase of temperature, and the climate tendency rates increased noticeably in the west part.Distribution of annual mean temperature in the two periods showed a trend of high value region extending to north and west.Precipitation in Tibet increased also.Distribution of precipitation in the two periods showed a trend of high value region extending to west.Since the 1990's,most parts of Tibet got to warmer, except eastern valleys area where the weather became from cold and wet to dry and warm.
